var message="　　永宁古寺与水口塔同时始建于明万历年间，因塔建寺。清康熙五年（一六六六年），蔡诚宇重修，永宁寺开始叫「永凝寺」，清改名「塔下寺」。「文革」期间寺院被毁，二十世纪八十年代重修后改为今名。寺院在「文革」前，规模不大，三间土房占地仅一百平方米左右，「文革」后重建的寺院规模不断扩大，至今建筑面积足有三千平方米以上，建筑质量亦今非昔比。寺中现有常住人员四十多名。香港居士来寺举行过水陆法会多次。广州、南昌、赣州等地居士常来朝拜礼佛，永宁寺已成为江西有一定影响的佛寺。"
